Conference; a meeting of two or more persons for discussing matters of common concern.


BUT conference means something more, way more, post covid.  It means meeting people you have worked with but have never actually met (except virtually), seeing smiles unmasked, really feeling the energy that may have been missing from a Zoom meeting. Making connections through conversation about common interests, common problems, or commonplace and sharing a meal or a glass of wine.  The buzz we got from being back with our peers was worth it alone.

In a new world where IRL has taken a back seat and ecommerce is standard operating procedure we know that retail brands and their counterparts (suppliers, agencies, software/ platforms) must BE BOLD.  We saw this firsthand last week at the Velocity Conference + Expo as each speaker’s presentation took a deep dive into ‘finding your voice’, being ‘authentically’ different and fearlessly ‘inclusive’ all at the same time. All had inspiring perspectives on steps they are taking to incorporate these themes as well as consistently challenge, engage, and connect with their customers and colleagues.

Velocity Conference gave us the boost that we needed to continue encouraging and inspiring our clients through bold design and branding! Thank you to the Velocity Institute for holding such an impactful event, we hope to see you all soon!
