This year’s GD USA American Package Design Awards marks its 55th year and has yielded another bumper crop of incredible design work for a wide array of industries and companies, and MBD is pleased to congratulate four of our clients on their wins. Great branding and great packaging requires not only vision and creativity on the part of the design team, but also the courage of marketing and brand managers to believe in their agency partners, share their passion and fight for more than average results. We literally couldn’t do this without you!

Welch’s Star Wars Sparkling 100% Grape Juice. What better way to celebrate the release of the newest Star Wars movie than with 8 specially designed commemorative bottles featuring characters from the Light (white grape) and Dark (red grape) sides of The Force?

Lettieri’s single serve. Greencore, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of prepared foods, needed a new look for a dormant legacy brand to be used for a line of convenience store food items. MBD developed the brand position, logo and packaging across multiple items in 10 product categories, and convenience store shoppers have never been more satisfied.

Natural Grocers Store Brand. Since 1955, family owned Natural Grocers has been catering to the discerning, health-conscious shopper with a wide array of organic products. MBD was tasked with creating a packaging system that represented their unique brand position, reflect their core values of healthy living, and be flexible enough to support packaging rollout across hundreds of items in multiple categories. The result is as fun an informative as shopping one of their stores.

Lightlife Frozen Bowls and Pastas. With the success of their chilled line, Lightlife makes their triumphant return to the frozen aisle with a line of hearty, flavorful, ready-in-minutes vegan Bowls. Their delicious Wild Mushroom and Veggie Sausage Raviolis round out the offering, all with packaging as unique and appealing as the food itself.

Congratulations to our design and productions teams, our account managers, our photography and printing partners and especially to our clients who make this one of the most fun (and most challenging) jobs in the world.
